Chimelong: Xiangjiang Safari Park - 29 Nov 2013
Xiangjiang Safari Park was the highlight of our trip to Guangzhou. The area covers 130 hectares and it's the biggest safari in Asia. Adult ticket price is RMB250 and child (height of 1.2-1.5m) is RMB125. The park is just 5 minutes away by shuttle bus from Chimelong hotel. There're 2 parts to the park, 1) The Safari on Wheels where the trams will take us around the safari; 2) Safari on Foot, the 'walk through' zoo. We wanted to take the tram first so we used the North entrance. Though we arrived early, we already saw the crowds and dozens of school buses. We literally ran all the way into the park so that we're ahead of the school children. Safari on Wheels "Do keep all parts of your body within the vehicle"?? The tram ride takes about 40 minutes.
