Posted by Xian Jin One moment I was wondering about what’s going to happen. Now, here I am preparing for my finals. It’s as if I’m on the express train of life. I remember how I was so undecided and unsure on what to do, what not to do, what to say, what not to say… etc before I entered college. Questions and doubts were floating like stormy clouds in my head, ready to pour. I had mixed feelings about starting school again, after 6 months at home- I left my job too, and missed it deeply (still do). Fast forward 2  months later, here I am, as busy as one can be with assignments, presentations, so on and so forth. It’s strange how time can pass so fast. Despite having been here for over a month, I still get lost occasionally. This place is huge!! I am really enjoying my time here, ‘even though’ it has only been a few weeks (or ‘because’, I don’t know which yet). Posted by Joshua 2016 has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride- to me at least. This year will always remain especially close to my heart, not just because of the places I've been to or the things I did, but also because of the memories and friends made in my final year of high school. It has been an incredible journey so far, and as much as I look forward to the future, there's a huge part of me wishing that I could turn back time to start it all over again... (but I would remove the part about exams if I could) A sweet birthday to a year of many flavours. 16 years have passed by in a flash... and my family were always there for me throughout. They have all seen me at my best and my worst, and  I'm so thankful for each and every one of them, for their bottomless love and care. Including Cookie, our Miniature Pinscher. Posted by Xian Wei A camp for prefects with our teachers to Grace Farm at Serendah. It's an annual activity to give us time to learn life skills beyond the classroom. I was so excited that I couldn't wait any longer. We left at about 11am. We went there by vans and stopped only at KFC for lunch. At last we're there!! The scenery was beautiful and there were many farm animals. We settled down and played some games.  I've tried kayak and raft but this was my first time rowing a boat.   We had a boat race that the first boat to reach the opposite side of the pond and come back would be the winner. We rowed hard until my shoulders ached.  We're 2nd.  We had a great time and more fun in the outdoor than our classrooms. Catching shrimps on the raft was not easy. Go, Go, Go!! April was the month of sports and games. The boys have their sports days, inter school sports and state level sports. I have gotten used to the extra hours of practising and the extra effort sending them everywhere. The boys both enjoy their school experience, and participating in sports or club is a key part of this. Win or lose, they'll learn a lot about themselves and their limits. These days, sports day was not all about competition. My alma mater has started the countdown of its 100th anniversary celebration for next year. Formerly known as P.E.S.S, it's steeped in heritage and one of the oldest schools in KL.  Started in 1914, it's a missionary school set up to teach English to the children living in the Pudu area.  It's wonderful the school now converted the principal bungalow into a heritage gallery giving us insights into the history of our early founders and the rich culture of our school. I went with Wai Leng, my school mate since Standard 1. We  studied in the same place for our primary as well as secondary education.  Going back there was like taking a walk down memory lane.  Everything looked familiar, there're not much changes except some new buildings.   The luncheon event was held at the school's grand hall. Posting by Xian Wei I went for an overnight camp in the school with the prefects, librarians and teachers. After all the hard work, the teachers decided for the prefects and librarians to have some fun.  It was a splashing, splendid camp. This was my favourite group photo.  BBQ time!!! I did not eat the chicken because I did not want to eat a half-cooked chicken. Actually I helped them to barbecue the chicken. Reject, reject, reject - burnt chicken wings and marshmallows. Yikes!!! We were excited building a campfire; we sang our hearts out the scout song: "Ging Gang Gooli" and many others. "The Egg Crasher" We have to crack the eggs with our foreheads. If the player hits a raw egg, he/she earns a point. If the player hits a boiled egg (like me), he/she does not get a point. It was surely a messy game. We also played hide-and-seek and paper hunting.
