Chimelong: First taste of China - 26 Nov 2013

We're very impressed with Chimelong Hotel in Panyu District, Guangzhou. It's the largest ecological hotel in China, with 1,500 guest rooms, an oasis away from the bustling city. It's also an integrated resort with its own water theme park, amusement park, animal safari park, a permanent circus and a crocodile park. These private parks are huge and amongst the largest and most well-managed in China.

It's ideal for families especially if you want a more relaxing and safe environment away from the city. There are shuttle buses at 10-minute interval from the hotel to the nearest Metro station and the ride takes about 35 minutes to the city. There're so much activities and theme parks within the resort compound with free shuttle to keep the kids busy.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable room.

A favourite corner to chill and relax in the room

The kids really looked forward to the buffet breakfast at the restaurant, which is overlooking the garden with a view of White Tigers and flamingos & the Scarlet ibis.

Breakfast with the animals

First time I could tell the difference between snow tigers (pure white) and white tigers (with stripes).

A pose with the hotel mascots.

The boys told me their hearts were broken when they've to leave the resort after six awesome, cool nights there....
